Snowman Cake Pops

Ingredients:

  • 1 box of chocolate cake mix (standard size)
  • 1/2 cup and 1 can (16 ounces) of cream cheese frosting, separated
  • 36 lollipop sticks
  • Sprinkles, mini M&M’s, and red Fruit by the Foot fruit rolls

Instructions:

  1. Follow the package instructions to prepare and bake the chocolate cake in a greased 13 in. x 9 in. pan. Once baked, allow the cake to cool fully on a wire rack.
  2. Crumble the cooled cake into a large mixing bowl. Combine with 1/2 cup of frosting and mix until well incorporated. Form the mixture into thirty-six 3/4-inch balls and thirty-six 1-inch balls. Arrange these on baking sheets. Freeze for at least 2 hours or refrigerate for a minimum of 3 hours until the cake balls are firm enough to work with.
  3. To create the snowmen, stick a lollipop stick into a large cake ball and then into a smaller one on top. Secure the cake pops upright in a foam block. Heat the remaining frosting in the microwave; stir until it reaches a smooth consistency. Coat each cake pop with the frosting.
  4. Decorate the snowmen using sprinkles for faces and buttons. Use mini M&M’s and pieces of fruit rolls for earmuffs and scarves. Allow the decorations to set before serving.
