Before you dispose of your seeds after carving this year’s pumpkins, consider this nutritious and delightful snack that is not only simple to prepare but also a great activity for the kids.

Additionally, this adaptable Roasted Pumpkin Seeds recipe allows you to personalize it with your choice of spices or seasonings.

Roasted Pumpkin Seeds

Water

1 1/2 cups of raw pumpkin seeds

2 teaspoons of sea salt, with extra for taste (if desired)

2 teaspoons of melted salted butter

1 teaspoon of garlic powder

1 teaspoon of paprika

In a pot on high heat, bring water to a boil. Introduce the pumpkin seeds along with 2 teaspoons of salt; let them boil for 15 minutes. Afterward, drain the water and lay the seeds flat on paper towels to dry.

Set your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Prepare a baking sheet by lining it with either foil or parchment paper.

In a medium-sized bowl, mix the seeds with the melted butter until they are thoroughly coated. Add garlic powder, paprika, and more salt to taste if you prefer. Spread the seeds out evenly on the baking sheet.

Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until they are golden brown and lightly toasted, stirring them every 10 minutes to ensure even roasting.
