The holiday season brings a unique sense of enchantment. While gatherings with family and friends occur throughout the year, the social interactions in December feel especially significant. They provide a delightful reason to dress up, indulge ourselves, and play around with makeup styles.
Moreover, you can achieve stunning holiday makeup looks with natural, non-toxic products available at health shops. We’ve collaborated with two professional makeup artists to guide you through the process.
Smoky Eyes
Creating perfect smoky eyes can be quite challenging and may seem daunting. I’ll admit, during my teenage years, my initial attempts resulted in more of a raccoon effect than a chic look.
Organic beauty expert Natalia Campos reassures us that smoky eyes don’t have to be overly dark or intimidating.

1. Begin with a gentle approach. Use neutral shades like greys, soft blues, or lavenders around your upper and lower lash lines.
2. To enhance, softly smudge the edges with a blending brush or a cotton swab.
3. Take it up a notch. Layer the same shades or incorporate deeper hues such as plum or charcoal into the crease.
4. For an extra touch, apply a bit of black eyeliner along the lower lash line.
The secret to success, according to Campos, lies in blending: “Blend thoroughly to avoid harsh lines and apply light layers, gradually building up to your desired effect.”
For a dazzling finish, beauty and style specialist Nadia Albano recommends adding a hint of glitter to the center of your smoky eye for a multidimensional effect.
Vibrant Lips
If classic red lipstick isn’t your style, there are still plenty of chic options! According to Albano, this season is all about rich shades of plum and oxblood. Campos concurs, noting that dark lips—both matte and glossy in deep plum and luscious brown—are trending this fall/winter.
Look for products crafted with natural pigments enriched with nourishing elements like plant oils and cocoa butter.
Glitz and Glam
According to Albano, incorporating glitter into your look is always a playful way to enhance texture, especially during the holiday season.
Consider using an illuminating powder to highlight your cheekbones and the nose, applied delicately with a blush brush, or choose a solid illuminator for fingertip application. Instead of synthetic glitter, these natural products utilize mineral pigments for shimmer.
Campos adds, “Expect to see a lot of silvery eye looks. Soft silver liners and metallic eyeshadows bring elegance and are perfect for infusing glam into your holiday style.”
