Beer Bread Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups of flour (sifted)
  • 3 teaspoons of baking powder (omit if using self-rising flour)
  • 1 teaspoon of salt (omit if using self-rising flour)
  • ¼ cup of sugar
  • 1 can (12 ounces or 1 ½ cups) of your preferred beer
  • ½ cup of melted butter – divided into two portions of ¼ cup each

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the dry ingredients, then incorporate the beer and ¼ cup of melted butter.
  3. Transfer the mixture into a greased loaf pan.
  4. Drizzle the remaining ¼ cup of melted butter on top for an added crispy crust.
  5. Bake in the oven for 1 hour.
  6. Once baked, remove from the pan and let it cool for at least 15 minutes prior to slicing and serving.
