Ingredients:
- 3 cups of flour (sifted)
- 3 teaspoons of baking powder (omit if using self-rising flour)
- 1 teaspoon of salt (omit if using self-rising flour)
- ¼ cup of sugar
- 1 can (12 ounces or 1 ½ cups) of your preferred beer
- ½ cup of melted butter – divided into two portions of ¼ cup each
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the dry ingredients, then incorporate the beer and ¼ cup of melted butter.
- Transfer the mixture into a greased loaf pan.
- Drizzle the remaining ¼ cup of melted butter on top for an added crispy crust.
- Bake in the oven for 1 hour.
- Once baked, remove from the pan and let it cool for at least 15 minutes prior to slicing and serving.
