SAUSAGE, KALE, AND HONEY CHILI
This delightful chili recipe from Nature Nate’s Natural is guaranteed to keep you warm. As the temperatures drop, indulge in a hearty bowl of Sausage, Kale, and Honey Chili.

Ingredients:
- 1 pound ground turkey
- 1 pound Italian sausage
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1/2 each of red, green, and yellow bell peppers
- 1 large jalapeño pepper
- 3 cloves of garlic
- 1 medium onion
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 pound kale, chopped
- 2 cans (15 ounces each) fire-roasted tomatoes
- 1 can (15 ounces) cannellini beans
- 1 can (15 ounces) pinto beans
- 1 can (15 ounces) red kidney beans
- 3 cups vegetable or chicken stock
- 1/3 cup Nature Nate’s Raw & Unfiltered Honey
- 3 tablespoons chili powder
- 1 tablespoon cumin powder
- 1 tablespoon fennel seeds
- 1 tablespoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- 3 tablespoons cornmeal
Instructions:
Begin by browning both the sausage and ground turkey. Dice the peppers, onion, and garlic finely. In a large soup kettle, heat the olive oil and add the chopped vegetables. Sauté over medium heat until they become tender. Incorporate the meats and all other ingredients. Stir frequently to avoid burning. The chili is ready once it is heated through completely.
Tip: This chili makes a delicious topping for nachos or garlic toast. Serve it steaming hot with cornbread or biscuits.
