Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 teaspoons olive oil
- 1 pound ground turkey
- 1 chopped onion
- 2 cups of water
- 1 (28-ounce) can of crushed tomatoes
- 1 (16-ounce) can of kidney beans
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions:
- In a large pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the ground turkey and cook until it is browned evenly. Next, stir in the chopped onion and sauté until it softens.
- Introduce the water to the pot, then add the crushed tomatoes, kidney beans, and minced garlic. Season the mixture with chili powder, paprika, oregano, cayenne pepper, cumin, salt, and black pepper. Allow it to reach a boil, then lower the heat, cover, and let it simmer for 45 minutes.
