For many families, the tradition of watching the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade brightens the morning. This year, an esteemed brand will join the celebration. Wonder Bread, known since 1921 for bringing the joy experienced by its founder Elmer Cline during a hot air balloon race, will proudly make its debut at the parade on November 24. It is renowned for making sliced bread a household staple in America.

Turkey Cranberry Dinner Rolls

Nonstick cooking spray

1 package of Wonder Dinner Rolls

2 cups cooked diced turkey

1 cup cranberry sauce or relish

6 slices Swiss cheese

6 tablespoons butter

1 tablespoon yellow mustard

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1/2 tablespoon dried minced onion

Salt, to taste
Pepper, to taste

1 tablespoon parsley

1 cup Parmesan cheese

Preheat your oven to 325°F. Line a 9-by-13-inch baking dish with foil and apply nonstick spray.

Remove the entire slab of rolls from the package and slice it in half lengthwise to separate the top from the bottom.

Place the bottom half in the prepared baking dish and layer with turkey, cranberry sauce, and Swiss cheese before adding the top half of the rolls.

In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter and mix in mustard, Worcestershire sauce, onion, salt, and pepper to taste. Drizzle this mixture evenly over the rolls.

Cover with foil and let it rest for 5 to 10 minutes, then bake covered for 20 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5 minutes.

Garnish with parsley and Parmesan cheese before slicing into individual rolls.

Thanksgiving Stuffing

1/2 cup unsalted butter, divided

3 cups chopped onion

2 1/2 cups chopped celery

1 clove garlic, finely minced

1 1/2 tablespoons fresh sage, chopped

1 1/2 tablespoons fresh thyme, chopped

2 teaspoons celery seeds

1 pinch grated nutmeg

1 pinch ground cloves

1 teaspoon kosher salt

1 loaf of Wonder Classic White Bread, cubed

1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

1 1/2 cups low-sodium chicken broth

Preheat the oven to 325°F.

In a large skillet over medium heat, melt a quarter cup of butter. Add the onion, celery, garlic, sage, thyme, celery seeds, nutmeg, cloves, and salt.

Cover and sauté until the onions are translucent, approximately 5-7 minutes. Remove from the heat.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the sautéed vegetables with the bread cubes and season with pepper. Melt the remaining butter and pour it over the stuffing mixture along with the broth, tossing to combine.

Bake, covered, until heated throughout, around 35 minutes. Uncover and continue baking for an additional 15 minutes.
